Rahim Ladha is a Managing Director and the Global Head of Communications at BGO. In this role, he leads global media relations, public relations, and corporate communications across the firm’s real estate investment platform and global footprint. He is responsible for stewarding BGO’s brand, reputation, and risk profile, including leadership of issues management and crisis communications across markets worldwide. His responsibilities span internal and external communications, digital and social strategy, executive positioning, and thought leadership in support of the firm’s investment management and real estate services. Rahim also oversees BGO’s global corporate philanthropy and social responsibility programs and leads initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, inclusion, and ambassadorship across the firm’s 1,500-person organization.
Prior to joining BGO and its predecessor firm, Bentall Kennedy, Rahim served as Director of Communications and Public Affairs for GE Canada, where he was responsible for communications and media relations across all of GE’s businesses in Canada and related international business interests. Earlier in his career, Rahim held successive communications and policy roles at Candu Energy Inc. and within the Government of Canada, with a focus on the energy industry.
Rahim holds an Honours Bachelor of International Business from Carleton University, a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from Norwich University, an Executive Certificate in Global Communications from Columbia University, and a Certificate in Digital Marketing Strategy from Harvard University Extension School.
