Donna Doleman Dickerson


I’m a collaborative and creative business leader with a passion for innovation, people-centered strategic marketing and high-impact communications. With over 20 years of experience building brands and repositioning companies for results, I’ve created, led and fostered team alignment. I am hyper-focused on data-driven user insights, creative solutions for customer acquisition, retention and loyalty programming. I currently lead Brand, Marketing, Communications, Community Development, Financial Education, innovative Product Design at the University of Michigan Credit Union. I oversee strategic consumer activations as the official Partner of Michigan Athletics, Eastern Michigan University and Official Credit Union of the Detroit Lions – offering our exclusive Block M, Block E and Lions Debit Cards. I also lead partnerships at Washtenaw Community College.

As the first chief marketing officer at GreenPath Financial Wellness, I led the brand and marketing initiatives with focus and deep people-centric and creative expertise. I designed customer acquisition strategies, achieving 25% growth in the first two years, breaking records in revenue and account growth in the company’s 60-year history. As a Certified Diversity Professional, I launched GreenPath’s first ever multi-cultural consumer activations garnering significant increase in digital engagement from BIPOC communities.

Prior to GreenPath, I led an integrated marketing strategy that earned the economic development organization Ann Arbor SPARK multiple national and international marketing awards during my tenure as senior vice president of marketing. I also charted new territory for Pfizer Global Pharmaceuticals, designing and shaping its regional marketing strategy as the first regional marketing leader in Michigan. I was the founding Executive Director of the Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Community Health Institutes. I also established DLA Group LLC, a marketing strategy and business strategy consultancy that advises corporate, governmental, health care and other organizations on marketing strategy. In addition, I founded award-winning Natural Kids in 2006 to support sustainable practices for children.

I am a Forbes Communications Council member, currently a board member for the Make-a-Wish Michigan and Chair of Board of Directors for Trinity Health Michigan.
