Marius Zoican

Assistant Professor of Finance, University of Toronto

Marius Zoican is a faculty member of Rotman and University of Toronto Mississauga since 2018. Prior to joining Rotman, Marius was a finance professor at University Paris-Dauphine in France. His research on the impact of technology on financial markets was published in leading academic journals such as The Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, or Journal of Financial Markets, as well as covered by media outlets such as The Economist, Reuters, and Bloomberg News. Marius obtained academic grants for work in the field of financial technology, e.g., from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), Canadian Securities Institute, and the French National Research Agency (ANR). He received several awards, including the Federation of European Securities Exchanges “De la Vega Award” (2016) for outstanding research in financial markets.
