Betsey joined BMO Financial Group in 2011 and is the Chief Marketing Officer, Personal & Commercial Banking and Wealth Management. Betsey leads the BMO marketing team across Personal & Commercial Banking, Cards, Insurance and Wealth Management (in all global geographies). She is a key member of the Operating Groups' executive leadership team, Operating Committee and Diversity Council.
Betsey has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, working in the UK, Europe, US, and Canada. Having spent part of her early career in the UK as an Executive Strategy Consultant for KPMG Consulting, she has led marketing and digital strategies for FTSE 100 companies. She then joined American Express where she spent eight years on the senior leadership team, Accountable for Marketing, Product and P&L management for lending, insurance and small business card portfolios.

As Vice President of Client and Marketing Strategy for RBC Capital Markets, Amy leads the marketing planning and execution support for a broad range of Capital Markets businesses in Canada and abroad. In her current role, she headed the recent re-launch of the firm’s public website and is responsible for its regular operation. Amy is also a member of the Global Markets Innovation Council, the RWomen Steering Committee, and the Canadian Diversity Leadership Council at RBC Capital Markets.
With over 15 years of marketing experience, Amy held a series of increasingly senior positions over about a decade at Scotiabank prior to assuming her current role at RBC. Departments she supported included Corporate Identity, Commercial Banking, Retail Marketing - Direct and Digital Marketing, and Global Banking and Markets. In her last role at Scotiabank, Amy served as a member of an executive sub-committee for the bank’s Diversity and Inclusion program.
Amy completed her MBA at the Schulich School of Business at York University after finishing a Marketing Management Certificate at Ryerson University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto.
After receiving his undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from Waterloo in 2001, Sheldon founded Infusion Canada (Avanade acquired Infusion in February, 2017) with four classmates, an innovation firm that specializes in the blending of creative prowess with engineering know-how. During the last 17 years, he helped grow the company from 6 people to over 600, with offices around the world. In that time, he’s served as the company’s chief architect, and has been responsible for honing the firm’s technical direction amidst ongoing industry changes. Sheldon has a deep and expansive academic and professional background across a myriad of subject areas: computer science, theology, philosophy, philanthropy, creative writing, politics and entrepreneurship. An abiding Renaissance man in an era of specialization; technologist, philosopher, teacher and wordsmith rolled into an enigmatic but effervescent whole.
After obtaining her J.D. in 2001, Paula Amy Hewitt articled and practised primarily in securities law, initially in private practice as a transactional lawyer at Bay Street firms. Between 2009 and 2015, Paula worked at Dundee holding various positions with its dealer affiliates including Head of Legal, Designated Privacy Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Anti-Money Laundering. In January 2016, Paula join Macquarie Capital Markets Canada as its Chief Compliance Officer.

Sonia has been passionate about the Internet and its forward movement in Canada from the start. Bringing over 15 years of experience touching virtually every aspect of digital marketing, she brings a well-rounded perspective to support the best interests of IAB Canada’s tripartite organization and its members.
Sonia has led global digital strategy initiatives for international brands including Gillette, Heineken, General Motors, RBC, Coca Cola and Spin Master Toys. Her work has included every discipline of online media and her specialities range from performance marketing to social media strategy and start-up strategy. She has also consulted industry associations and many publishers to help navigate the disruptive media landscape.
Her passion for the industry continues in the role of President of the Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada where she continues to help drive the industry forward and put Canada on the global stage for online media innovation.
Rich Gans is Director of Social Media at AXA in the U.S., a leader in providing wealth management, life insurance and annuity products. In his current role, he oversees the company’s enterprise social strategy and social media policies and executes initiatives that use social media to enhance the customer experience, drive brand awareness, increase business value, and safeguard brand reputation. That’s his job description; his passion is helping transform the organizational culture to make people feel more informed and comfortable with social media. To achieve that goal, he manages all employee-focused social media training in addition to the U.S. social employee advocacy program. Prior to joining AXA, Rich was the head of social media for Forrester Research. Before that, he held roles focused on customer experience, market research, and business analysis at Forrester Research, Jupiter Research, and IBM.

Greg Roth, Synthesio’s VP of Global Marketing, is a pioneer in the social SaaS space, having spent the last ten years educating brands and agencies on strategic best practices and the power of data-driven digital marketing.
